About

Hi, my name is Apsara. I am a person who wishes to fit in many things to do at the same time, ranging from healthy cooking and baking to cake decorating, gardening and DIY crafts.

I’m passionate about reusing and recycling, minimizing waste and trying my best to lead a sustainable life.

I got inspired by the documentary Food Matters and its related movies, which led me on a quest to making everyday food healthy.

In this blog:

  • I document some changes I have made in my vegetarian diet and lifestyle to make it healthy.
  • I post recipes using whole grains, using as many whole food ingredients as possible. I do not cook/bake with eggs.
  • You’ll find many gluten-free, vegan recipes.
  • Also included are raw food recipes and fresh vegetable juices.
  • You can find some thrifty DIY recipes for a non-toxic living.
  • I write some articles on health and nutrition, some products that I have started using and their benefits.
  • I also write occasional book reviews of new food or health-related books that inspire me.

Thank you for visiting! I would LOVE to hear from you. Feel free to leave a comment or suggestion. It really encourages me to try more.

    Hi Apsara!
First of all, thank you for following my blog! It is so great to finally find yours!
I’m so in need of blogs like yours, been wanting to cook healthy food for so long but I slip every time. Hopefully your regular recipe updates will keep me on my toes and keep reminding me that I need to start eating healthy! You have some lovely recipes, will try them soon and keep you posted, especially the masala crackers. They are brilliant!
P.S. Loved how perfectly your posts are organized, this is a great theme you’re using!
    Radhikaxx

    • March 4, 2014 at 3:48 pm

thanks, Radhika. Yes, the oxygen theme is good, although it lacks in some areas.

      • March 4, 2014 at 4:34 pm

I like Adelle in terms of looks.. But it isn’t as organized looking as I’d like it to be. I’ll probably switch to a premium theme soon. I’ve heard thesis theme is good.

        • March 5, 2014 at 4:46 pm

That’s true, no free theme would have everything we want. But, I don’t know if I want to go to a premium theme yet. Good luck with your switch!
