Nutritional Yeast- a storehouse of B vitamins
Comments : 7 Posted in : Tips to make daily food healthy on by : apsara Tags: natural B vitamin, natural food, supplement, yeast flakes
Did you know about nutritional yeast? It is a great source of B vitamins especially B-12 which is hard to get for those on a vegetarian or vegan diet. It can be added to many things including crackers burgers and pasta for a cheese-like flavor.
It belongs to the “umami” category of flavors (with high levels of glutamate) which lends a unique flavor to dishes. (Source: Vegan for Her by Virginia Messina)
You wouldn’t have to make a trip to a health food store to get it. It is available at Kroger too! You may either like it a lot or not like it at all, so try adding a little bit at a time to see how you like it. I like to add it to homemade crackers.

What an excellent share Apsara!
I have always contemplated about using it! I might try it now.
Do try it, Sonal. I love the flavor!
