chia seeds in cereal

Chia seeds have been used in ancient civilizations like the Mayan in south America, now considered a Superfood.

They are a good source of omega-3 fatty acids, protein and are easily digestible and can control blood sugar. Chia seeds when mixed with water (hot or cold) and allowed to stand for a few minutes, form a gelatinous mixture. This serves to detoxify the digestive system. Somewhat like aloe vera.

How can we use this as part of our daily food? Stir it into your daily cereal or oatmeal breakfast and let it stand for a few minutes. It adds a great texture, and is yummy!

      Divya, we get chia seeds at Kroger, in the natural foods aisle
